Car keeps cutting out.

I got my VW Passat converted to LPG last Summer, it had to go back twice to get a gas leak fixed. It then cut out on me a few times, sometimes whilst idling and sometimes whilst going slowly. It stopped doing this for a few months until last Saturday. I was doing 75 on the M5 and it cut out on me!
I got it over to the hard shoulder and started it up again, it cut out again. I switched it to petrol and it's been fine. I talked to the guy at the garage who didn't seem to know what the problem was. He's looking at it this week. Anyone got any ideas? I'm concerned that the guy that converted it doesn't know what he's doing, I want it sorting while it's under warranty but not sure I trust him.
